Sadly, this astonishing collaboration was tragically cut short with the sudden death of Sellers in 1980. And with the death of Sellers, everything should take stopped there. I don't begrudge Edwards wanting to pay tribute to Sellers with Trail of the Pinkish Panther , the film itself just doesn't piece of work as a true flick, only more than equally a compilation of deleted scenes making information technology the cinematic equivalent of a home video bonus characteristic.
